Stress of caregivers of dementia patients in the Singapore Chinese family
This 1997 study surveyed 50 family members caring for elderly relatives with dementia in Singapore. More than half showed signs of significant stress, which was worse when caregiving lasted longer or when the patient had depression, sleep problems, or difficult behaviour.
