COVID-19-associated impact and post-traumatic stress symptoms 39 days after pandemic in a sample of home-quarantined Chinese college students: the mediating effecting of past stressful events, psychological resilience, and social support

In a large online survey of over 12,000 Chinese college students under home quarantine, about 1 in 15 showed signs of stress-related trauma symptoms 39 days into the COVID-19 outbreak. Past stressful experiences, lower resilience, and weaker social support all made this more likely.

The impact of gardening on mental resilience in times of stress: A case study during the COVID-19 pandemic in Singapore

Surveying almost 9,000 people who took part in a ‘Gardening with Edibles’ programme during Singapore’s COVID-19 restrictions, this study found that those who gardened weekly felt more mentally resilient than others, supporting gardening as a way to cope with stressful times.

The interplay between anxiety, fear, protective behaviors, compassion and resilience among older adults during a COVID-19 lockdown: a structural equation modelling study

This study found that older Singaporeans who were more compassionate were more likely to follow safety measures during the pandemic lockdown, and that following these measures and having greater resilience were both linked to lower anxiety.
